Explosion-Proof Enclosure

CXJ Series

NEMA  Type 2, 4X, 7 & 9

 Application:

Ralston's CXJ series enclosures are designed to provide explosion protection against hazardous gases, vapors, liquids, flammable fibers and flying or combustible dusts. The CXJ is designed for use in hazardous areas such as oil / petroleum refineries, waste water treatment plants, petrochemical plants, mining facilities, etc. The CXJ can be installed in both indoor and outdoor environments. 

Construction:

The CXJ enclosures are made from copper-free cast aluminum. Each enclosure comes complete with cover bolts and cast mounting feet.

Finish:

The CXJ has a stainless steel shot blast or sandblast natural finish. The option of a painted finish is available upon request. Interior mounting plates are bare aluminum. 

Standards:

The CXJ is built to the requirements of NEMA type 2, 4X, 7 and 9.

The CXJ enclosure is UL, cUL (for Canada) and CSA (for Canada) certified. 

The CXJ complies with:

Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups B, C + D

Class II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F + G

Class II

Options Available:

The CXJ can be drilled, tapped and supplied with a variety of lights and operators. Also available with installation of hinges, N4 o-ring, windows and an interior mounting plate.
