Small Utility Enclosure
Application
Ralston’s small N1 panel enclosures are general purpose enclosures designed to house electrical controls, electronic controls, and instruments indoors.
These enclosures do not have the oil and dust tight characteristics of the NEMA/EEMAC Type 12 enclosures.
Construction
All small N1 enclosures are made from spot welded
14 ga. hot rolled steel. They come complete with a removable 14 ga. back panel on 10-32 weld nuts.
The N1 door is secured to the box with a continuous piano hinge and one point latch. This enclosure comes complete with internal mounting holes and ground studs located on both door and box.
Paint Finish
All enclosures are phosphatized and finished inside and out with ANSI/ASA 61 grey polyester powder coating. Inner back panels are painted with high gloss white powder coatings.
Standards
Ralston’s N1 enclosures are built to the requirements of NEMA Type 1 enclosures and are CSA certified (File #LR 80034492) for use with industrial control equipment in ordinary locations.
N1 enclosures are UL 50 approved as a Type 1 enclosure (File #E136838).
Special Orders
Custom units made from stainless steel or with special finishes, sizes or punching can be supplied on order.
