Oil and Dust Tight Single Door, Dual Access Free Standing Enclosure
Application
Ralston’s N12 Free Standing enclosures are designed to provide protection against dust, dirt, and oil for such items as: electronic and electrical controls, instrumentation systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine tool controls.
Construction
All N12 Free Standing enclosures are made from 12 ga. hot rolled steel and have continuously welded seams ground to a smooth finish.
Each enclosure is equipped with two 5/8 eye bolts, complete with solid rubber seals and reinforcing support angles welded to the top of the enclosure.
Two 1/4-20 grounding studs are installed as well as one full length back panel. Back panel is designed that it may be cut in half to make two half panels that require no extra drilling for installation. The removable 12 ga. panel is mounted on six unistrut channels to allow for panel adjustments and to provide stiffness to the sides.
The base is pre-punched to provide ease of securing the enclosure to the ground for stability. Hole plugs are provided to seal the pre-punched holes in the case the holes are not used.
The Free Standing doors are also made from 12 ga. hot rolled steel and are equipped with oil resistant gasket, 1/4-20 grounding stud, removable print pocket, keyed locking handle with roller mechanism, and a continuous piano hinge.
Paint Finish
All enclosures are phosphatized and finished inside and out with ANSI/ASA 61 grey polyester powder coating. Inner back panels are painted with high gloss white powder coatings.
Standards
N12-FSDA enclosures are built to the requirements of NEMA type 12 specifications for use with industrial control equipment in ordinary locations, and type 13 for an oil and dust tight enclosure.
N12-FSDA enclosures are CSA certified (File #LR 1174410) and UL 508 listed (File #E136838) as a type 12 enclosure.
