Application


Ralston’s IBSC Series, JIC enclosures are designed to provide protection against dust, dirt, and oil for such items as: pneumatic or hydraulic instruments, transformers, and junction wiring.

 

Construction


All IBSC enclosures are made from 14 ga. hot rolled steel. All seams are continuously welded and each enclosure (except IBSC 040403) comes complete with a removable 14 ga. back panel mounted on four 10-32 weld nuts.

 

Grounding studs are provided on the inside of the box and door and wall mounting back brackets are welded on the top and bottom outside. The IBSC door is a lift off cover, sealed with a one piece soft oil resistant neoprene gasket and secured to seales (blind) rivnutsin the enclosure with 10-32 captive screws.

 

Paint Finish


All enclosures are phosphatized and finished inside and out with ANSI/ASA 61 grey polyester powder coating. Inner back panels are painted with high gloss white powder coating.

 

Standards
 

IBSC enclosures are built to the requirements of NEMA Type 12 specifications for use with industrial controls in ordinary locations, and type 13 for an oil and dust tight enclosure.

 

IBSC enclosures are CSA certified (file #1174410) and UL 508 Listed (file #136838) as a type 12 enclosure.

Custom units made from stainless steel or with special finishes, sizes or punching can be supplied on order.
