Application

Ralston’s 3 piece consoles are designed to provide protection against dust, dirt and oil for items such as: electronic and electrical controls and instrumentation systems.

The consoles is suitable for control functions in paper and saw mills, lumberyards, on factory floors as well as in food processing facilities. The attractive design and finished appearance ensures a quality test console for laboratories, research facilities and offices.

Construction

The enclosure is a three piece engineered console system designed to be pieced together in any combination depending on the required use. Made from 1.5mm steel the console has continuously welded seams ground to a smooth finish. Doors are easily removed by pulling the removable hinge pins from the hidden hinges. Single door base units are designed for hinging on either the left or right side. All doors are sealed with an extruded one-piece polyurethane gasket and secured closed with 1/4 turn DIN type 3mm latches. The concealed hinges on the desk section allows for a 90° opening. Top and desk section doors are held open by self-engaging/self-releasing mechanical panel arms. The removable rear wall of each section is held secure with M6 torx screws and is sealed with an extruded one-piece polyurethane gasket. The rear wall of the bottom and top sections can be replace with optional rear doors. The 1.5mm removable bottom plates are designed for easy cable access adn include cable entry foam for a complete seal.

The console bottom and top units come complete with a depth adjustable 3mm galvanized interior mounting panel with ease-of-moving slide wheels. All three sections come with grounding hardware.

Finish

The console is phosphatized and finished inside and out with RAL 7035 light grey polyester powder coating with a textured finish.

Standards

The double door console is built to the requirements of IP55 and NEMA Type 12 for industrial use.

The consoles are cULus, CE, and TUV approved.
