Application

Ralston’s EC Series consoles are designed to provide protection against dust and dirt, for items such as: electronic and electrical controls and instrumentation systems.

The EC is suitable for control functions in paper and saw mills, lumberyards, on factory floors as well as in food processing facilities. The attractive design and finished appearance ensures a quality test console for laboratories, research facilities and offices.

Construction

The EC is made from 1.5mm steel. It has continuously welded seams ground to a smooth finish. Doors are easily removed by pulling the removable hinge pins. Single door units are designed for hinging on either the left or right side. Doors are sealed with an extruded one-piece polyurethane gasket and secured closed with 1/4 turn DIN type 3mm latches. The concealed hinges on the top door allows for an 80° opening. The top door is held open by self-engaging/self-releasing mechanical panel arms. The 1.5mm removable bottom plates are designed for easy cable access and include cable entry foam for a complete seal.

This console comes complete with a 2mm galvanized interior mounting panel and door, body & panel ground studs.

Finish

The EC is phosphatized and finished inside and out with RAL 7035 light grey polyester powder coating with a textured finish.

Standards

The EC series console is built to the requirements of IP55 and NEMA Type 12 for industrial use.

The EC series console is cULus, CE, and TUV approved.
