Application

Ralston’s IBWRH Series, JIC enclosures, are designed to provide protection, indoors and outdoors, against dust, dirt, oil, and water for items such as: pneumatic or hydraulic instruments, transformers, and junction wiring. These enclosures are for use in areas such as dairies and breweries where they are subject to frequent high pressure hosing and generally wet conditions.

Construction

All IBWRH enclosures are made from 14 ga. hot rolled steel. All seams are continuously welded and each enclosure (except IBWRH-040403) comes complete with a removable 14 ga. back panel mounted on four 10-32 weld nuts. Grounding studs are provided on the inside of the box and door, and wall mounting back brackets are welded on the top and bottom outside. The IBWRH door is sealed with a one piece neoprene gasket and is secured to the enclosure with a continuous stainless steel piano hinge on one side and stainless steel door clamping hardware on three sides.

Paint Finish

All enclosures are phosphatized and finished inside and out with ANSI/ASA 61 grey polyester powder coating. Inner back panels are painted with high gloss white powder coatings.

Standards

IBWRH enclosures are built to the requirements of NEMA type 12 specifications for use with industrial control equipment in ordinary locations, type 13 for an oil and dust tight enclosure, and type 4,4X as a water tight corrosion resistant enclosure.

IBWRH enclosures are CSA certified (File #LR24024) and UL 508 listed (File #E136838) as a type 4,4X enclosure.
